ButterflyCircle is an on-line community of butterfly lovers who share a common interest and passion in enjoying the beauty and grace of these delicate Nature’s winged beauties. It was started by a core group of butterfly enthusiasts who has been observing butterflies since our childhood days. Later, joined by another group of photographic enthusiasts who specialises in macro photography, and in particular, who shares the interest of photographing butterflies in their natural environment, the community grew into what it is today.

The group is looking into and documenting all issues of bird ecology, especially the inter-dependency of birds and plants (fruits, nectar, insects, pollination, seed dispersal, nesting sites and materials, etc). We also hope to study breeding behaviour – from nest to eggs to fledglings. Hopefully, a central database, freely available to members, can be set up in due course.
